The city council has received a large grant from the federal government in order to improve transportation in the city. The city council has received two proposals. One proposal is to spend the money on upgrading the present subway and bus system. The other proposal is to create more subway lines and bus routes. There are enough funds for only one of these proposals, so the council must make a decision.The first option is to spend the money on upgrading the present subway and bus system. Why?
1- In some subway we can find that trains are running so slow and they are in bad conditions.
2- In subways there is a cleanliness issue. It is very dirty and smelly because people don’t care about where they throw their garbage so that causes mice.
3- There should be a good system for securities for example there should be one or two police officers in each station or should be fix cameras. Also there should put some signs that are necessary for people who are ignorant of some ways.

The second option is to create more subway lines and bus routes. Why?

1- It could help in rush hour when the subways are too crowded. MTA should make people more comfortable.
2- Time is very important for everybody so by saving time they can make subways near houses. It can help people to save money instead taking taxi or waiting for buses. There should be direct trains to airports such as JFK, LA GUARDIA and NEWARK airport.
3- When MTA start to make more lines, it can help people who are jobless. MTA might have subways jobs.

1. Different types of transit project that it combines to create a seamless transit system allowing commuters to connect easily to numerous destinations.
2. Subways and buses will become more efficient to travel.
3. They should have better security for public transportation for example police or cameras, and signs.

2- Federal government has to spend on the subways lines because they are too old and not in good condition.

3-Transportation will be easier by having more subways lines and buses routes because they might run faster and save time of people.

DECISION MAKING
I think people got together to make a decision of something and than they agreed on it, But when the day come and nobody wanted to agree with the decision. I think there are some reasons that people disagreed. Maybe they talked to somebody and he/ she did not wants to agree with the decision. Maybe he or she changed his mind and give some bad reasons about the decision, and than it spread in all people.
But it’s not fair if you vote for something and than you don’t want it that means you really did not want to vote for something at that time when you were asked for vote. You were not ready for it.

“A day without a Mexican”

“A day without a Mexican” is a mock documentary story. It takes place in California because most Mexican lives there. Mostly Mexican’s are working in supermarkets, in farms, some people are housekeeper, journalist, and some of them are teachers. This movie tells us how these people are important, because when the Mexican people started to disappear the people of United States were feel bad. They cannot do any work without them. When the people was begin to disappear everything in California was destroy with out them. This story tells that how Mexican is important for California also all immigrants have their own valve.

What do you think of illegal immigration?
I think that illegal immigration is a serious matter. Many people in the USA are illegal because they don’t have proof that they can live in the USA. Unfortunately if they get caught they can go to jail or they can sent back to their countries. Sometimes they can’t go back to their countries because they don’t have proof that they are living here legally. Also when they come to the USA they have a problem to get good jobs. So they accept low pay and fewer benefits jobs. May be they can progress in their whole lives or maybe not….

When I was in Pakistan I got a letter from the USA embassy in which they asked for all documents. I completed all documents and sent them all. The most difficult work was that I did not have the interview date. It took a lot of time. I went to the USA embassy but they did not respond about any thing. . I was very disappointed. At last they sent the date of the interview. This was the very difficult time that I experienced.
When I came to the USA I had a problem with my S.Scard. My problem was that my whole name was written wrong. I was so confused because I could not spoke English to them. I send them back my S.S card they were so nice because they understood my problem and sent my S.S back to me. They made it correct.
In Pakistan if you want to get an i.d you will get your i.d in a few months because the service is slow also when you are there you have to wait for long time. But if there is any mistake on your id so you can easily make it correct because you could easily speak your mother language.

VISIT TO THE BMCC AND THE MET MUSEUM

Yesterday I went to the BMCC .I met with BMCC student. They all were from different countries. Most of them were from china. They were very helpful and corporative. I enjoyed being with them.

The MET museum was very interesting. I saw some galleries where I found different photographs of modern people. Also I found some art. It was a hand of God. It shows the God’s love with people. It was made by Rodin. He expressed possibilities of hands. Towards the end of his career he began to use Giant hands. Such as The Hands Of God.

I hope I never forget this amazing trip with BMCC students. In future I like to be with BMCC students. I like to talk with them also I get lot of information form them.
